Bright and pleasant flat in the heart of Catania’s historical centre, a stone’s throw from the main tourist attractions (Castello Ursino, Duomo, Pescheria etc.). I am Sicilian to the core! Born in Palermo, I live in Catania, have travelled all over my island for work and know its most intimate facets. Here, hospitality is an art, it has a much deeper meaning, of family hospitality. Sicily is a unique cultural world, all waiting to be discovered. With me you will discover what it actually means to be Sicilian, I will explain the ways of doing and living that would otherwise be incomprehensible. I have been practising the ‘profession’ of host for more than three years now. But I have never limited myself to just hosting, as much as to fully involve my host in the culture of the place where I live. I am proud of this and have almost always managed to transmit a part of Sicily to my guests. Sicily is in the heart.
We are right in the historic centre of Catania, between Piazza Mazzini and the Ursino Castle. The beauties of baroque Catania (the Duomo, the 18th-century churches of Via Crociferi, Via Etnea) as well as the most characteristic local market (the Pescheria), are just a few steps away from our hotel. All the main tourist attractions are within easy walking distance.
